AGM 2020
We regret to inform you that the 2020 RMA Annual General Meeting has been postponed until further notice. The postponement arises out of circumstances beyond our control, yet we believe that the decision is in the best interest of our members.
The members are the principal stakeholder of our Fund and have, given the quorum threshold under the Fund Rules, both an obligation to attend in order to render the AGM lawfully constituted. In any event, our members have the democratic right to personally attend the AGM unconstrained. All things being equal, we should be in a position to convene an AGM as soon as this can be done lawfully when the current restrictions under the Regulations made in terms of the Public and Environmental Health Act cease to have effect.
RMA would like to assure our members that while the AGM has been postponed, we share our delight with our members for achieving, yet again, unqualified audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the year ended 31 December 2019. The AFS have been approved by the Board and has been submitted to NAMFISA within the deadline, in compliance with the provisions of the MAF Act. As such, the AFS will be ratified at the AGM.
